•Abusing or killing cats and dogs can result in up to 2 years in jail and a fine of NT$200,000 to NT$2 million
•Buying, selling or consuming foods that contain cat or dog meat is punishable with a fine of NT$50,000 to NT$250,000
•If found guilty by a court your employment permit will be revoked, you will be repatriated to your home country and not be permitted to return and work in Taiwan
