Taiwan’s Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) has approved five licensed remittance companies that serve migrant workers, with around 870,000 customers in total. In the first half of 2025, migrant workers sent home NT$60.3 billionthrough these channels. Officials remind workers to use only approved legal services—whether banks or licensed remittance providers—for greater convenience, safety, and protection.
The number of migrant workers with legal employment Permit in Taiwan keeps growing, now reaching 742,254, which also boosts demand for money transfers. Key figures show:
- Customers: About707,000 at the end of 2024, now up to 870,786.
- Transactions: From26 million in the first half of 2024, rising to 5.8 million this year.
- Value: A total ofNT$84.19 billion in 2024; already NT$60.27 billion in just the first half of 2025, likely to set a new annual record.
The government has also relaxed remittance limits for migrant workers. Under the current rules:
- Each worker can send up toNT$500,000 per year.
- The maximum isNT$30,000 per transaction.
- The monthly total cannot exceedNT$50,000.

移工匯款創新高！上半年突破600億元
金管會（台灣）已許可5家合法的外籍移工小額匯兌公司，客戶數總計約為87萬人。2025年上半年之間，移工國外小額匯兌業務交易金額總計約新台幣603億元。提醒移工朋友匯款應循合法途徑，除銀行以外，也可選擇專為移工服務的小額匯兌業者，方便、安全又有保障。
在台受聘僱移工人數近一年持續增長，目前已有74萬2,254人，也連帶拉升海外匯款需求。根據資料，2025年底的移工國外小額匯兌客戶數為70萬7千餘人，目前已達到87萬786人。2024年上半年交易筆數為426萬7,973筆，今年同期增加到580萬5,342筆。交易金額方面，去年全年約為841億8,900萬元，今年光是上半年就有602億7,479萬元，預估今年底可望創新高。
當局已放寬移工年度匯款金額，根據「外籍移工國外小額匯兌業務管理辦法」規定，每一移工每年金額上限為50萬元，每筆上限3萬元，且每月累計不得超過5萬元。
