(FWA 2025/10/20) The Alishan Sacred Tree Wedding, organized by the Alishan National Scenic Area Administration (hereinafter referred to as the Alishan Administration), is now in its 19th year. It is not only deeply loved by many new couples but has also been selected as an international-level event in the Taiwan Tourism Biennial Calendar, attracting 15 couples from countries around the world. These couples, from nations like Australia, Germany, Brazil, the UK, and Japan, have interwoven their love stories with the magnificent natural landscapes of Alishan, creating precious memories.

This year, the most notable participants were a couple from Germany, who specially invited over thirty friends and relatives to fly thousands of miles to Alishan to witness their unique wedding. This wedding was not only a testament to their love but also a fusion of two cultures, as friends and family shared in the joy of this transnational romance. Such a grand scale has once again made the Alishan Sacred Tree Wedding an international focal point, highlighting Taiwan’s unique charm as a wedding tourism destination.

On the first day of the event, the couples participated in a “Group Tea Experience.” This activity not only allowed the couples to learn about the production process of Taiwanese tea but also let them experience traditional tea art culture and the charm of handmade tea. Following this, the event moved to the Tsou wedding experience, where couples took part in a wedding ceremony full of Tsou characteristics. The traditional Tsou wedding combines sacrificial rites with blessings of song and dance, allowing the couples to not only learn about the local culture but also feel the power of blessings from nature and the tribe. This wedding experience allowed the couples to feel the resonance of culture and love amidst the forests of Alishan.

On the second day, the 15 couples came before the Alishan Sacred Tree for their wedding ceremony. The ceremony under the Sacred Tree became one of the most important moments of their lives. In this land that has withstood millennia, the couples made eternal vows in the presence of family and friends. Under the blessing of the Sacred Tree, these vows will be integrated into the history of this land, along with the magnificent scenery of Alishan.

The Alishan Administration stated that Alishan, as one of Taiwan’s most iconic tourist attractions, possesses unparalleled natural landscapes and profound cultural heritage. The Alishan Sacred Tree Wedding event is the perfect presentation of all this. This year’s event once again proves that Alishan is not only a natural treasure of Taiwan but also a sacred place for witnessing love.

To provide the couples with more blessings and warm memories at this important moment in their lives, special exclusive offers have been introduced, including thoughtful services like free future admission to the park and free rides on the park’s Forest Railway for the newlyweds. Through these arrangements, couples can not only seal their vows under the witness of the Sacred Tree but also easily roam through the natural scenery and historical relics along the forest railway line, experiencing the unique romance and tranquility of Alishan.

With the successful conclusion of the 19th Alishan Sacred Tree Wedding, this transnational romantic celebration has not only allowed couples to feel the beauty of love but also made Alishan a dream destination for wedding enthusiasts worldwide. In the future, the Alishan National Scenic Area Administration will continue to promote wedding events with Taiwanese characteristics, inviting more couples from all over the world to come to this magical land to witness the power and beauty of love.
