(FWA 2025/10/29)The Central Weather Administration (CWA) stated on the 29th that the northeasterly monsoon will weaken during the day on October 30. Aside from sporadic rain in the eastern half and on the north coast, the weather in other areas will be stable. High temperatures in northern Taiwan will rise to 28°C, making it very comfortable for outdoor activities.
However, the northeasterly monsoon will strengthen again at night, and moisture will increase. Rain will begin in the north on the evening of the 30th and gradually expand to the eastern half by Friday (31st). The rain and clouds will primarily affect the north and Yilan, while central and southern Taiwan will remain stable with cloudy to clear skies.
Temperatures will drop in northern Taiwan and Yilan on Friday. It will feel cool all day over the weekend, with early morning lows potentially dropping to 19-20°C. Other regions will be slightly warmer during the day but cooler at night and in the early morning (21-23°C). The CWA reminds the public to adjust their clothing accordingly to avoid catching a cold.
The CWA also warned of strong wind gusts in open coastal areas and outlying islands, which will also lead to larger waves. Please be careful when engaging in seaside activities. This wave of the northeasterly monsoon is expected to gradually weaken next Tuesday (November 4), at which point temperatures will rise significantly.
