(FWA 2025/11/10)The phased registration for the universal cash handout ended on 11/9. Many people are wondering what to do if they missed it. The Ministry of Finance (MOF) explained in a Facebook post on the 10th that starting from 11/10, registration is open to all eligible individuals regardless of the last digit of their ID number. Parents can also register on behalf of their children under 13. The registration deadline is 4/30 next year.
The MOF reminds the public that the official registration website is https://10000.gov.tw. The URL ends with “.gov.tw”, which is exclusive to government agencies. There is a “.” before “gov”, and it will not be preceded by other letters or numbers. Please recognize the only official website. The government will not proactively send text messages or emails notifying people to collect money or register, nor will it call and ask for operations at an ATM or online banking.
Registration takes only 3 steps: Go to the official website and click “Direct Deposit Registration” (登記入帳); enter the ID/ARC number of the person or their representative + financial institution account number + the NHI card number of the recipient; confirm the information and submit to complete registration.
After completing registration, the NT$10,000 will be transferred to the account once the data is successfully verified. The public is reminded to check their passbook or online banking to confirm the deposit.
Registration Details:
• Registering for oneself: The ID/ARC number, bank account, and NHI card number must all belong to the same person.
• Registering for a child under 13: One parent or guardian can register on their behalf (not applicable to ARC holders). The ID number and bank account must belong to the parent, while only the child’s NHI card number is entered.
