2. Policy Benefits: Transitioning to “Skilled Workers” and Point System Bonuses
Migrant Workers Transitioning to “Skilled Workers”: According to the “Migrant Labout Retention Program,” senior migrant workers who obtain a technician certificate in Forklift or Crane Operation (Single Level) meet the professional skill criteria. Once transitioned, they are exempt from the maximum work year limit and can reach higher salary thresholds.
“Point System” Bonus for Graduating Overseas Students: According to the point system for overseas students staying to work in Taiwan, obtaining a national-level Technician Certificate grants an additional 20 points under the “Other Special Expertise” category. This is significantly helpful in reaching the 70-point threshold required to work in Taiwan.
