Executive Director Chen Jianren inspected Kaohsiung Qianzhen Fishing Port on May 10. He said that foreign seafarers play a very important role in the offshore fishery. If the fishery is to develop smoothly, fishermen must be taken good care of and their physical and mental conditions must be taken care of. With the guidance and subsidies from the Fisheries Administration of the Ministry of Agriculture, 30% of the fishing boats have been equipped with WIFI, which can stabilize their emotions. They also thank their employers for being considerate of their needs. It is also a reflection of the Taiwanese government’s love for foreigners.
陳建仁視察前鎮漁港三成漁船已設WIFI
行政院長陳建仁5月10日視察高雄前鎮漁港，他表示，外籍船員對於遠洋漁業扮演相當重要角色，若要漁業順利發展，更要將漁工照顧好，關心他們的身心狀況。在農業部漁業署的輔導及補助下，已有三成漁船設置WIFI，能夠穩定他們的情緒，也感謝雇主體諒他們的需求，更是台灣政府疼惜外國人的體現。
