(FWA 2026/6/15)Organized by the East Rift Valley National Scenic Area Headquarters under the Tourism Administration, MOTC (hereinafter referred to as the Headquarters), the “East Rift Valley Tribal Food Paradise” will make its grand opening from Thursday, August 20 to Sunday, August 23. Approaching its sixth year, this year’s event focuses on the theme “Original Brew.” From ingredients nurtured by the land and wisdom passed down through generations, to flavors and memories brewed over time, travelers are invited to step into the East Rift Valley. In a space where food, crafts, music, and culture intertwine, visitors can experience the most authentic and touching scenery of tribal life.
In response to the enthusiastic feedback for the corporate wild banquet highly praised last year, this year marks the first time it has been expanded into a two-day event. On the first two days (August 20 and 21), the ticketed “6th Anniversary Tribal Food Paradise Corporate Wild Banquet” will be launched. It gathers brand partners of the event to jointly create a limited-time tribal flavor feast. Through carefully planned dining experiences, travelers can taste flavors from the mountains, forests, and land. At the same time, wonderful tribal dances and performances are arranged on-site to showcase the unique indigenous culture of the East Rift Valley, leading travelers to deeply feel the charm of the tribe from taste and sight to hearing.
The “Select Market” on August 22 and 23 invites tribal partners from all over Hualien and Taitung to participate, selling items including specialty foods, handmade crafts, flavored drinks, and lifestyle selections. Besides roaming freely in the market, the public can also enjoy tribal dance performances and feel the most vital cultural energy of the East Rift Valley. This year also specifically features three highlight booths: the “Tipsy Bar” for enjoying alcoholic beverages and light meals, the “Roast Party” presenting classic roast suckling pig dishes, and the “Rift Valley Full Meal” focusing on local rice staples. Besides the rich market content, this year continues to launch various tribal cultural experiences deeply loved by travelers, including the “Mountain Hunting Ground” to explore traditional life wisdom, the “Aesthetics House” to feel tribal crafts and aesthetics, the “mumu Kitchen” to taste tribal food culture, and the “Limited Wild Banquet” combining starry skies, food, and cultural stories. Through immersive participation, the public can understand the culture and scenery of the East Rift Valley from different perspectives.
The Headquarters stated that, continuing the popular collectibles of previous years such as picnic mats, camping chairs, camping lights, and camping tables, this year launches a 6th-anniversary limited edition souvenir—a folding storage box. Anyone who purchases a ticket for the Corporate Wild Banquet on August 20 or August 21 will receive it!
