(FWA 2025/10/21)The Central Weather Administration (CWA) issued a heavy rain advisory this morning: Affected by the northeast monsoon and the outer circulation of a typhoon, today (Oct. 21st), localized torrential rain or extremely heavy rain is occurring in the mountainous areas of Taipei City. Localized heavy rain or torrential rain is expected in Taipei City, New Taipei City, and Yilan County. Localized large rain or heavy rain may occur in Keelung City, and the mountainous areas of Taoyuan City and Hsinchu County.

There is a probability of localized large rain in the Taoyuan, Hsinchu, Miaoli, and Hualien regions. Please be aware of short-duration intense rainfall and strong gusts. Low-lying areas should guard against flooding. Mountainous areas should be on high alert for landslides, rockfalls, debris flows, and rapidly rising streams.
