Is it legal for missing migrant workers to stay in place? The All-China Federation of Trade Unions strongly opposes

The Ministry of Labor recently commissioned private organizations to hold a focus symposium on the issue of regularization of missing migrant workers, triggering strong opposition from employer groups. The National Federation of Employment Service Business Associations of the Republic of China (All-China Federation) stated that “legalization in place” cannot solve the problem of the continued increase in missing migrant workers, let alone improve the lack of work. It calls on the Ministry of Labor to stop the research and discussion, and the policy should be based on Only by fully opening up migrant workers, severely punishing illegal workers, and allowing high-quality intermediaries to engage in outreach services can the management of migrant workers be put on the right track.

失聯移工就地合法？全聯會嚴正反對

勞動部近期委託民間單位，針對失聯移工轉正議題召開焦點座談會，引發雇主團體強力反對。中華民國就業服務商業同業公會全國聯合會（全聯會）表示，「就地合法」無法解決失聯移工持續增加的問題，更無法改善缺工，呼籲勞動部停止該研究及討論，政策上應從全面開放移工、嚴懲非法、允許優質仲介機構從事外展服務等機制，才能全面將移工管理導入正軌。
