(FWA 2025/11/12)The official website for the universal cash handout was open for pre-registration from November 5-9 and opened for full registration on November 10. The Ministry of Finance (MOF) stated that for individuals who completed registration during the pre-registration period or on November 10 and whose status was successfully verified by the system, the cash handout will be deposited on November 12. Individuals eligible for direct deposit will also receive their cash handout on the same day.

The MOF explained that for individuals who completed registration during the pre-registration period (Nov 5-9) and on November 10, funds will be sequentially deposited into their accounts starting from 6:00 PM on November 11 through November 12, according to each bank’s operating procedures.

For individuals who currently receive government allowances or pensions—including Labor Insurance Pension, Labor Occupational Accident Insurance Pension, National Pension, Old-Age Farmers’ Welfare Allowance, Farmers’ Retirement Savings, monthly pension from the Labor Retirement Fund, Living Subsidy for Persons with Disabilities, Living Allowance for Middle- and Low-Income Seniors, and institutionalized children, youth, and veterans under public expense—these individuals do not need to register. The cash handout will be directly deposited into their personal accounts on November 12.

The MOF reminds the public to check their passbooks, online banking, or mobile banking to confirm the deposit. Starting November 13, the public can check their registration status on the official website (https://10000.gov.tw). On the homepage, click “Check Registration Status” → Enter the individual’s/agent’s National ID or Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) number → Enter the recipient’s NHI card number → Click “Confirm” → The registration status will be displayed (one query at a time). If registration or deposit fails due to incorrect information, the webpage will indicate the reason and allow re-registration. Alternatively, individuals can opt for ATM withdrawal (starting Nov 17) or Post Office pickup (starting Nov 24).

The MOF stated that if the public has any questions about the cash handout process, they can call the 1988 hotline (service hours: 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM daily) or click “Online Customer Service” on the official website for an intelligent chatbot or live text support. The Ministry reiterates that the government will not send SMS messages or emails notifying people to collect money or register, nor will it ask for ATM or online banking operations over the phone. For all information regarding the cash handout, please refer to the official government website (https://10000.gov.tw). If you encounter suspicious messages or calls, please immediately dial the 165 anti-fraud hotline or the 1988 customer service hotline to verify.
