(FWA 2025/10/17)The Legislative Yuan passed a special resilience budget on the 17th. The Ministry of Finance (MOF) expects to issue the NT$10,000 cash handouts as early as the beginning of November. The MOF will announce the detailed distribution schedule to the public after it is promulgated by the President.
This year’s eligibility criteria will follow the 2023 cash handouts, which include: Taiwanese citizens with household registration, stateless nationals who have obtained a residency permit, foreign nationals who have obtained a permanent residency permit, spouses of Taiwanese nationals who are from mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and other countries and have obtained a residency permit, and government personnel dispatched abroad and their Taiwanese-national dependents.
Methods for receiving the payment include: Account Deposit Registration on the designated website, ATM Withdrawal, and Post Office Withdrawal. Certain groups are eligible for Direct Deposit without registration, and a roster-based distribution will be arranged for those in remote areas.
