Prevent and control dengue fever epidemic and strengthen environmental management of migrant workers’ dormitories

In order to prevent the dengue fever epidemic, the Ministry of Environment recently sent letters to all counties and municipalities to strengthen prevention and control work in various sites, including high-risk locations such as farms, buildings, and engineering sites, to do a good job in environmental management and breeding source removal, and to proactively carry out regular inspections. The Changhua County Government Labor Department reminds employers and migrant workers to strengthen dormitory environmental management and dengue fever prevention and control, reduce the size of containers and remove water-stagnant containers to avoid the breeding of vector mosquitoes.

防治登革熱疫情 加強移工宿舍環境管理

為防範登革熱疫情，環境部日前發函各縣市政府加強各場域防治工作，包括農園、房舍、工程工地等高風險地點，做好環境管理及孳生源清除工作並主動定期巡查。彰化縣政府勞工處提醒，雇主及移工應加強宿舍環境管理及登革熱防治工作，進行容器減量並清除積水容器，避免孳生病媒蚊。
