The Taipei Filipino Workers Center of the Manila Economic and Cultural Office held an intermediary meeting on May 2. CESAR L. CHAVEZ, Jr., director of the Taipei Migrant Workers Center, said that the office has recently observed some Filipino migrant workers taking drugs. MECO reminds workers that if they hear or discover such a situation, they can contact the Filipino Workers Center privately.
The Philippine government also attaches great importance to the quality of exported workers and the fulfillment of contract commitments. If Filipino workers go to work in other countries while the labor contract is valid, if the agency has relevant information, the office can also assist in communicating with the workers and notify the foreign country to be included in the record. In the future, the Ministry of Immigration and Immigration may subsequently apply for listing. 2024/05/03
