(FWA 2025/12/19)According to the Central Weather Administration (CWA), the Weekend Weather Forecast indicates unstable conditions across Taiwan from Friday, December 19, to Sunday, December 21. Due to a southern cloud system moving north, residents should expect intermittent rain and carry rain gear when going out.

From Friday (Dec 19) to Saturday (Dec 20), rain is likely across all regions, with heavier rainfall expected in Eastern Taiwan. For those planning to visit high mountains (above 3,500 meters) in Central and Northern Taiwan or Yilan/Hualien, please be aware of the chance of snow or ice and prepare accordingly. Additionally, on Friday morning, Central and Southern Taiwan may experience low clouds or fog, reducing visibility; drivers and commuters should slow down and drive safely.

On Sunday (Dec 21), the Northeast Monsoon will strengthen, causing temperatures to drop in Northern and Northeastern Taiwan. While the weather may turn cloudy to sunny in central and southern areas, Keelung, Greater Taipei, and the Northeast coast will still see brief showers. Please also be alert to long waves along the northern and northeastern coasts if engaging in seaside activities.
