(FWA 2025/12/23)According to the latest forecast from the Central Weather Administration, a new wave of Northeast Monsoon will strengthen starting Wednesday (Dec 24), bringing increased moisture and wet and cold weather across Taiwan. This weather pattern will affect the island through the weekend, making it essential to carry rain gear and wear warm clothing.

From Wednesday (Dec 24) to Thursday (Dec 25, Christmas Day), the weather will turn noticeably wet and cool. Rain is expected in the northern and eastern parts of Taiwan, while the central and southern regions may also see scattered showers. Thursday and Friday mornings will be the coldest, with lows dropping to 15–16°C in the north and central regions, and 17–19°C elsewhere.

Open coastal areas may feel even colder. Although the rain will ease slightly in the south from Friday (Dec 26) to Sunday (Dec 28), clouds will remain, and the north will stay rainy. Please be aware of strong winds in coastal areas and potential fog in the early mornings.
