A:I bought a cheap cellphone online yesterday, but after I paid they didn’t send me the item

B:You might have been scammed. Sometimes buying things online looks really convenient, but if you are not careful it can also turn out to be a scam. Always pay attention to the following before making an online purchase:

Better understand the reputation of the seller and the platform : Select a seller and platform with a good reputation. Be cautious if a suspiciously low price is offered or there are only a handful of comments about the offer

Become adept at using third party payment tools : Do not make a direct transfer from your own account. Using third party payment provides an additional layer of protection and makes it easier to file a complaint in the event of difficulties

Select a platform with a “payment escrow mechanism” : Platforms such as these only release the payment to the seller after you receive the item paid for. If you do not receive the item, it is also easier to get your money back
