Angel’s Trumpet
1.The whole plant is toxic, with the fruit and seeds the most toxic parts.
2.The leaves are 2-3 times larger than those of Jimsonweed, but are hard to differentiate based on appearance. They resemble “South African leaves,” but the latter have powdery short hair on the surface, while mature leaves are smooth.
3.The plant is a tall woody species with flowers that hang down like Chinese New Year flowers and can vary in color.It resembles a “lily,” but lilies are low-growing herbaceous plants with mostly upward-facing flowers.
4.The flower buds are usually long and oval-shaped with a slightly pointed tip, smooth on the outside, soft in texture and contain no seeds. They resemble “okra,” but okra buds are long and conical-shaped, rough on the surface with clear ridges, firmer in texture, and contain more seeds.
