Cigarette butts and plastic filters are not biodegradable and if thrown away without consideration not only pollute the air, water and soil, but can also clog drainage systems, negatively impacting urban environments and natural ecosystems.
Littering with cigarette butts can result ina fine of NT$1,200 to NT$6,000.
When smoking, carry a cigarette butt receptacle or dispose of cigarette butts in a trash to keep the environment clean.
