To promote plastic reduction policy, Department of Environmental Protection of Taipei City Government is launching a special campaign starting September 5, 2025. Anyone who brings their own reusable container or cup to designated night markets can enjoy delicious food and also receive a free dishwashing liquid and a chance to join a raffle.

The department explained that since 2020 it has promoted “Green Night Markets,” for years, and this year the program will be expanded. The campaign kicks off on September 5 and 6 at Ningxia Night Market, followed by Raohe, Liaoning, Gongguan, and Linjiang Street night markets. Each event runs from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

To join, visitors just need to use their own reusable container or cup when buying food or drinks at the participating night market, take a photo showing the eco-friendly container with the vendor’s stall, and present the photo along with the container at the campaign booth. Participants may exchange it for 1 bottle of dishwashing liquid. A total of 200 bottles will be distributed each day on a first-come, first-served basis.

In addition, participants who complete a short on-site survey can enter a raffle for a chance to win special gifts.

The department hopes that by introducing the plastic reduction campaign into night markets—familiar and well-loved spaces in daily life—it can encourage people to adopt eco-friendly habits, cut down on single-use plastics, and move toward a greener, more sustainable city.

減塑做環保 台北夜市送免費好禮

為落實減塑政策，臺北市政府環保局自2025年9月5日起推出特別活動，民眾只要自備環保容器、環保杯到指定夜市消費，不但可以享受美食，還可獲得洗碗精及抽獎機會。

環保局說明，自2020年起推動環保夜市，今年將擴大辦理規模。這個活動自9月起展開，首場將於9月5日、6日在寧夏夜市開始，後續於饒河街夜市、遼寧夜市、公館商圈夜市、臨江街夜市等五大知名夜市辦理，每場活動時間皆為下午5時30分至7時30分。

民眾只要自備可重複使用的容器或杯子，在活動日指定夜市中消費並拍下使用環保容器盛裝食物或飲品與店家攤位的合照，再至現場活動攤位出示照片與容器，即可兌換洗碗精1瓶，每日限量200瓶，送完為止。

同時，參加活動者若填寫現場問卷，可參加抽獎活動，有機會獲得限量好禮。

環保局表示，希望透過夜市這個廣為民眾熟悉且熱愛的生活場域，推動減塑行動走入日常，讓環保成為生活的一部分，進一步減少一次性塑膠使用，打造更友善的綠色城市。
