(FWA 2026/10/6) With the Double Tenth National Day holiday approaching, the Taichung City Environmental Protection Bureau has announced its schedule to maintain services during the break. On October 9 (Friday), Taichung Garbage Truck collection will operate normally. On National Day, October 10 (Saturday), regular street-side garbage truck collection will be suspended and replaced with a “fixed-time and fixed-point” service. On October 11 (Sunday), as it is a regular day off, there will be no collection. The Environmental Protection Bureau reminds citizens to check the collection times and locations in advance and dispose of their garbage according to regulations to avoid missing the collection window.
The Environmental Protection Bureau explained that if the public needs garbage truck collection services during the long holiday, they can check the information provided by their local district cleaning squads. Since October 10 is a national holiday and will use the fixed-time and fixed-point system, the schedules and locations will differ from regular days. Residents can visit the Environmental Protection Bureau website to check the “2026 Taichung City National Holiday Garbage Collection Fixed-Time and Fixed-Point Table” (https://www.epb.taichung.gov.tw/17066/17822/18086/29501/3173778/post) or download the “Taichung Garbage Collection Fleet” (台中垃圾清運大車隊) APP to receive the latest news. The APP also allows users to set a push notification 3 or 5 minutes before the garbage truck arrives, making it easier to track the truck and take out the trash. For any questions related to garbage truck collection, residents can call their local district cleaning squad (https://reurl.cc/V1RxYQ).
The Environmental Protection Bureau reminds the public to join in waste reduction and resource recycling when traveling, dining out, or attending activities during the National Day holiday. Please bring your own eco-cups, tableware, and shopping bags when going out to reduce the use of single-use items. After events or gatherings, please ensure waste is properly sorted and handled to help maintain the city’s cleanliness and public environment.
FWA has compiled a guide on how to check Taichung garbage truck information:
Maaaring bisitahin ang website ng Environmental Protection Bureau upang tingnan ang “2026 Taichung City National Holiday Garbage Collection Fixed-Time and Fixed-Point Table” (https://www.epb.taichung.gov.tw/17066/17822/18086/29501/3173778/post) o i-download ang “Taichung Garbage Collection Fleet” (台中垃圾清運大車隊) APP para makatanggap ng mga pinakabagong balita.
