(FWA 2026/10/5)This year (2026), the Double Tenth National Day on October 10 falls on a Saturday, forming a 3-day long holiday with Friday, October 9, and Sunday, October 11. The cleaning squads of the Taipei City Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) will maintain regular Taipei City garbage truck collection on Friday, October 9, and Saturday, October 10. Following regular practices, garbage collection will be suspended on Sunday, October 11.

The DEP pointed out that citizens who cannot accommodate the garbage collection schedule can utilize the 30 designated time-limited garbage drop-off points in Taipei City. For detailed locations, please refer to the attachment.

The DEP also reminds the public that while going out to celebrate the National Day during the long holiday, please remember to properly sort garbage and recycle, implement food waste reduction, drain food waste before disposal, and do not illegally dump garbage bags or discard cigarette butts. Let’s work together to maintain a clean and tidy cityscape.
