In addition to work rights, foreign care workers also have the basic right to take time off work

•A minimum of one day off every 7 days (the specific day should be coordinated with the employer)

•The freedom to go out and buy daily necessities, see a doctor, or deal with personal matters

•In case of emergencies, foreign workers can go out temporarily (remembering to first inform their employer)

When going out always remember

•Inform the employer where you are going and what time you expect to return

•Ensure the safety of the care recipient

•Always carry an ID and method of contact on your person

•Respect any curfew related regulations imposed by the employer’s family (to be coordinated with the employer)
